Tax Lawyer
People
can get sued for many reasons. There are a few ways to protect your self
from a lawsuit, but some lawsuits are just unexpected. The most common
way of getting in trouble with the law without even knowing it is when
it comes to the tax law. Many people make mistakes when it comes to
their taxes without even knowing it, but they will later find themselves
in rough problems with the IRS. In this case, the best way to get
protection is with a tax attorney.
Most people don’t realize that there is a significant difference between
a CPA and tax attorney. A tax attorney can prepare a strong case when
dealing with the IRS and everything you tell him is confidential. If you
tell your CPA that you’ve done something illegal when it comes to taxes,
he has to testify in court. On the other hand, the relationship between
you and your tax attorney is somewhat similar to that between you and
your priest or your doctor. Most people hire a tax attorney when they
start having problems with the IRS, but it is best to already have an
attorney before any incident. If the IRS starts an investigation on you,
it might be a mistake or you might have done something illegal. There
are a number of things that you can do wrong when it comes to taxes and
the IRS has the right to start investigating. To make sure that the
investigation doesn’t end badly for you, you need to hire yourself a
good tax attorney. Unlike general attorneys, tax attorneys are
confronted with tax problems every day. They have higher experience in
this field and they know how to get around a rough situation.
The tax law is complicated because of three facts: it changes often, it
can differ from state to state and it is not black and white. If you
don’t have special knowledge about this matter, you will find it hard to
keep in touch with all the changes in the jurisdiction. That is why you
need a person with experience to handle your problems with the IRS. Your
tax attorney will "fight" the IRS for you. Most people get in higher
difficulties because they try to handle the IRS themselves and they give
more information than they should. The IRS can start investigation based
on our statements so it is best to let a tax attorney talk for you.
A tax attorney can stop the IRS through a number of strategies and it is
up to you to decide what exactly to use. You can explain your situation
and you and your attorney can come up with the best solution for your
problems. The IRS uses many techniques in order to get what they want
and they usually succeed. Only an experienced tax attorney can stop them
in their tracks.
Any person that owns a business or has a reasonable amount of money in
real estate or cash should try hiring a tax attorney. You can’t keep in
touch with every move in the tax law, but your attorney can. A good tax
attorney can make you save thousands of dollars in tax deductions and he
can make sure that the IRS can’t touch you. The best way to stop a
problem with the IRS is preventing it and only a good attorney can help
you do that. You just need to search and find out who is the best.

your part to prepare a bit more in looking for a good tax lawyer than
might be the case with other areas of legal expertise.

I work....just not for his company!!
By: toni | 09-11-2008
Hi Tracy I hope you can help me with a confusing tax issue...I live with
my boyfriend of 8 years. His CPA told him to give me a 1099 form for
contract labor. I don't work for my boyfriends company nor do I work
anywhere else. I do wash all of his clothes, clean his house, run
errands for him and cook his dinner every night. That's just a few
things I do....not to mention I also mow the lawn and plant a garden
every spring. He puts money into my checking account each week for
things like grocery shopping , my car insurance and car payment. I need
to know if his CPA is handling this the correct way? I would appreciate
your opinion very much. Thank you!! Toni W.

Capital gains
By: rebeccah | 08-11-2008
Like many people I sold a large mutual fund investment this year. I had
owned the mutual funds for many years. Is the tax implication (ie, cost)
any different if I reinvest the money by the end of the year? I used the
bulk of the money to pay off the note on my car and would like to know
if that makes any tax difference. Thanks.
I havent filed my taxes for 2007 becuz my boyfriend said i could claim
him.
By: kendall | 08-11-2008
dear tracy, i let my boyfriend do my taxes this year and his method
startled me so bad i didnt file them. first he claimed that it was ok
for me to file him as a dependant. we have no legal connections,
although he has no job and hasnt for 5-6 years i have supported the
deadbeat out of guilt and stupidity. however i seriously doubt the feds
would approve of my claiming him for cash. is it true that i can claim
him? also due to the complete mess he made of my taxes i was to afraid
to file for 2007 for fear i would be severly punished. how do i go about
rectifying this huge mistake.? can i simply file anyway or do i have to
wait now until next year?

Are sweepstakes expenses tax deductable?
By: rodney | 08-11-2008
I like to enter sweepstakes. Sometimes I win, mostly I lose but
sometimes I win big. I get 1099s for several thousand dollars. I itemize
every year. I also gamble a little throughout the year (a little casino
and state lottery). I deduct my casino and lottery losses(a few hundred
dollars). my understanding is that I can deduct up to my winnings. My
questions are: Can I deduct expenses that I have incurred in relation to
my sweepstaking? I spend hundreds of dollars in postage alone! I also
buy envelopes, postcards, colored pens, pencils, stickers etc to win
sweepstakes. I also subscribe to entities that mail me 50 to 100
sweepstakes every week. Can I deduct those costs? Every week I drive to
gas stations, grocery stores, grand openings to try to win prizes, can I
deduct the gas used? If so do I use the IRS mileage figure? I also use
my cell phone and computer to enter sweepstakes. Can I deduct a portion
of my cell phone bill or my internet bill? If I can deduct some or all
of these, can I do the same on my state taxes(Missouri)? Thank you for
your time and answers. Rod Crosno

Therefore, the Indian Legal System is a Common Law-cum-Civil Law.
Apparently, Hindu Law is a personal law and applicable to person and

The Role of Life Insurance Companies
By: Ioan Margineanu | 30/11/2007 | Insurance
Around the age of thirty, people are becoming more aware of the fact
that they need to leave a legacy and that a few people rely on their
existence. When you know that you have a family to support, you can’t
act like a teenager. But this is not enough. Once a person or more are
waiting for you to provide for them, you need to assume a few
responsibilities. You will soon realize that if something were to happen
to you, they couldn’t survive spiritually and physically. You can’t do
anything about the spiritual side, but you can make sure that your loved
ones will have everything they need when you die.

A federal direct student loan is a loan offered by the government to
students that need financial help for collage expenses. This program was

The Freight Industry

A freight company has the job to arrange all the details of a cargo
transport between shipper and carrier. The company acts as an
intermediary and takes off some problems that both parties would have if
they worked alone. If you want to ship an item, you will have a hard
time finding a good carrier and carriers also have difficulties in
finding clients. However, because a good freight company always has a
data list, it can make the search much easier and it can also assure
that the carrier is reliable. Besides this, the freight company also
deals with all the paperwork.

When a borrower fails to make his payments for several months in a row,
the bank starts the foreclosure process. The phase of the foreclosure

pay off his debts and avoid foreclosure. Many investors would like to
buy a foreclosure home because of the low price, but another option of
making profit from foreclosures is to buy a pre foreclosure home.
Instead of losing the house to the bank, the owner may decide to sell
